Margali month in hindu calender falls on mid of December till mid January (30 days). This is an auspicous month in hinduhism. Entire month of margali, a lot of poojas are held in early hours.
In our Kaliammah Temple, we used to go to temple as early as 4.20am daily. The temple helper, already start to wash the entrance of the temple and start doing his cleaning work. There were around 20 members will come daily to sing the 'Eluchi Padal' (waking up song) followed by the theepa arathanai.
Our thevaram group members will sit to sing the 'thevaram songs' (holy songs) for an hour. Our group will be lead by the thevaram group sir.
At 5.30 am morning, prayers start with Vinagar poojai and to all other deties. By 6.00am the poojai will come to an end. Morning breakfast is served. By 6.30am we will go back home.
